Slope
A side slope is a geological body with a lateral free-air surface formed naturally or artificially on the ground’s surface.
Types of Slope Stabilization Project
- According to their causes, they are natural slopes and artificial slopes ;
- According to the medium that constitutes the slope body, they are soil and rock slopes;
- According to the slope height, they are low slopes (soil slopes <5m, rock slopes <8m), medium-high slopes (soil slopes 5~10m, rock slopes 8~15m), high slopes (soil slopes 10~15m, rock slopes 15~30m), and super-high slopes (soil slopes >15m, rock slopes >30m);
- According to the slope gradient, they are gentle slopes (<15°), medium slopes (15°-30°), steep slopes (30°-60°), steep slopes (60°-90°), and reverse slopes;
- According to the stability, they are stable slopes, unstable or critically stable slopes, and unstable slopes.

Classification of foundations
Foundation refers to the soil or rock supporting the foundation under the building, which is the soil or rock bearing the entire load of the building.
Natural foundation
The natural soil layer has sufficient bearing capacity and does not need to be artificially reinforced. The soil layer on which houses can be built directly is called natural ground.
Artificial foundation
When the soil has poor bearing capacity or is subjected to heavy loads, it can be reinforced to provide sufficient bearing capacity, creating what is known as artificial ground.
Pile foundation
When constructing large buildings on soft, thick soil, shallow foundations may not provide sufficient strength and may require the use of piled foundations.
