Split Set Rock Bolt
The split set is a new type of anchor of full-length anchoring and actively reinforces the surrounding rock. It is made of a high-strength anchor rod with a longitudinal seam. The raw material is high-strength alloy strip steel, one end is forged into a conical head to facilitate the insertion of the anchor rod into the hole, and the other end is welded with an iron ring for carrying the tray.

Anchor rod
The circular pipe formed by the thin plate is rolled into a tubular shape and has a full-length longitudinal seam. There are two wall thicknesses: 2.5mm and 3.0mm.

Tray
It is square with a bowl-shaped protrusion in the middle. It is the component that transmits the tension of the anchor to the surrounding rock.

Working principle of split set rock bolt

when the split set rock bolt is installed in a borehole slightly smaller than the diameter of the pipe, the split set rock bolt is compressed, and the outer wall of the steel pipe and the borehole wall are squeezed tightly. This squeezing effect exerts radial pressure on the hole wall throughout the entire length of the rock bolt, thus enhancing the bonding force between the rock bolt and the hole wall.
due to the close contact between the rock bolt and the hole wall, when the surrounding rock is displaced or deformed, the rock bolt will experience friction from the surrounding rock. This friction can prevent the surrounding rock from further sliding or deforming, thus strengthening the surrounding rock.
the rock bolt tray will also produce supporting force for the surrounding rock, which works together with radial pressure and friction to put the surrounding rock in a three-dimensional state of stress. This three-dimensional stress state can significantly improve the stability and load-bearing capacity of the surrounding rock.
